An original ArtistiCO interpretation of Mexican Christmas traditions, Fiestas Navideñas: A Christmas

Celebration features dance, music and magic inspired by three celebrations of Mexico: the pastorelas, the

posadas and the Nativity. Fiestas Navideñas is a cultural experience featuring new, original choreography,

dazzling costumes, along with special artistic guests from Mexico City. This performance elevates the

traditional holiday traditions of Mexico, and invites you to witness the energetic and vibrant choreographies of

a rich and authentic Mexican culture, featuring more than 50 local and international artists.

About ArtistiCO

The Denver-based ArtistiCO Dance Company is an artistic dance platform created as a bridge to connect

professional artists to the community through dance and movement. Founders, Jose Rosales and Alfonso

(Poncho) Meraza Prudente are former principal soloists of the internationally renowned Ballet Folklórico de

México de Amalia Hernández. Chepe and Poncho created ArtistiCO to offer a safe and inclusive space for

artists to showcase their talent, passion, and artistic expertise with international dance artists. All members of

the ArtistiCO Dance Company are lifelong dance artists, each with more than 25 years of professional and

performing-level dance experience in numerous dance genres.
