ArtistiCO Gala 2023

ArtistiCO Dance Company is thrilled to announce their upcoming dance concert titled "¡Viva México!" at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver, Colo. on Saturday, September 9. This sensational production marks the start of LatinX Heritage Month.

Prepare to be captivated by an unforgettable evening of vibrant and authentic Mexican culture brought to life through dance and music, featuring more than 50 talented international dance and musical artists who will grace the stage in a celebration that showcases the rich heritage of México.

 

In addition to honoring Amalia Hernandez's legacy, this gala event will also feature Mariachi Arcoiris, the world's first LGBTQIA+ mariachi group. With recent performances at Lincoln Center in New York City for Pride 2023, Mariachi Arcoiris brings their unique blend of talent, musicianship, and inclusivity to Denver’s vibrant arts and culture scene. .

 

Alfonso Meraza and Jose Rosales, former principal soloists of the Ballet Folklorico de  Mexico, are thrilled to bring their expertise and passion for Mexican culture to their local community in Colorado. Having toured internationally, they now aim to give back by presenting "¡Viva México!", a production that celebrates the vibrant traditions of Mexico through captivating music and dance.

Returning for a second year at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House as the first local LatinX dance organization with their own production at Denver Arts Complex, is a reflection of  ArtistiCO's commitment to redefining perceptions and celebrating LatinX culture through artistry showcased in prestigious venues.
